Being Alive - Amy chapter I’ve never sat in a train so cold.
It makes me disbelieve that we’ve crossed the border and entered the sunshine state of California and it can still be this cold. Huddling against the window, I stare out into the blackness. Bright lights from towns I don’t know speed by, just yellow blurs in the darkness.
Train wheels chug away at the ground and I can half-imagine words in their methodical clacking, words that I’ve been trying to tell myself for the past several days. I’m not the villain here.

Giddy-up Coraline Standing in the college bookstore,
amidst the CDs and books and greeting cards.
The Beach Boys croon overhead and I wonder, I wonder,
if this song could be construed as an innuendo,
since they keep singing things like 'giddy-up, giddy-up, Coraline'.
Isn't Coraline underage?
Weren't the Beach Boys supposed to have a clean-cut image?
The song begins to worry me until, a few seconds later,
I realize they're singing

Real as it seems chap. 3 People don’t like parting with cars.
I had an easier time stealing Maleficent’s pointy hat (and yes, it is a hat). That woman does not sleep, which means the only time I could accept Hook’s dare and take the darn thing was while she was washing her hair (she has hair too).
The main reason is that people don’t leave their cars open. First I had to figure out where the handles were, then that they wouldn’t open for me, then that bashing the car open tends to render it unusable.
Which is why I’m now sitting in a barred cell with two unconscious thugs lying at the other end of the cement-floored area.

Not that anyone knew what exactly the monarchy did, who the people involved in the monarchy were, only that the people who were running the monarchy now were not as good as the people twenty years ago. Not that anyone remembered the people twenty years ago, or even ten years ago, but over-thinking the coup ruined the whole spirit of the thing.
Coups were best when they were done impulsively, Selah decided, draping the towel over her arm as she waited for the king to come out of his bath. There was nothing technically wrong with His Royal Highness King Ire; it was just that he had to die.

Bastian is the only one to mourn Grograman's death or to sleep between his paws.

Took me long enough to think of a subject for 'Desert' but it was actually reallllly fun to work on Grograman's fur and color and such. Bastian isn't very good, but... well, he's just not very good.

Love the colors. He's one of my all time favorite characters from one of my all time favorite books :) I have some drawings of Grograman myself in my gallery. Just a very nice character in every way.

You did a really good job at this, actually. The contrast really works here, and I think the parts that you used the colors on makes it even better (for example, using red in the foreground rather than, say, blue)

Thank you. Using red was a change for me, as I usually use blue/blue-derivative colors most of the time. =) Glad you enjoyed it!

A very beautiful piece here, I really enjoy the various and unusual colors displayed here, and really come sout to be a great dipiction of those words up there ;)

I still like the style and coloring.

Really dark and shadowy in a lot of spots... but that kinda looks neat. I need to read that book one day, eh?
